Thanks Denzel!
I’m just testing it out on my iPad.
Awesome that you were able to update the plugin in such short amount of time!
All the best,
Martin.
Hi Martin,
It was a necessary update, and I plan to keep the plugin separated from video sidebar widgets. I was going to stop doing this plugin, because I had combined it’s function in video sidebar widgets. But since, vimeo changed to use iframe instead of normal embed codes. I will have to keep this plugin alive and update to use it. Video sidebar widgets will continue using flash embed code. No vimeo update for it.
Hey Denzel, thanks for the great work!
We really would like to use the new vimeo embed code so iPad and iPhone owners can view the videos too.
Do you plan to update the plugin?
Again, thanks for this really nice plugin!
Moritz
Well, I think I can. If I have the time. I didn’t know about any new Vimeo embed codes. Because, this plugin is not popular and it has been a long time since the last bug report from user.
Will take a look at the code on Vimeo now, and see if I have the ability to integrate into this plugin.
Thanks for your interest.
Hi,
Insert and Cancel button do not work.
Please see attached image.

Hi,
You need to clear your browser cache.
The javascript for the tinymce editor is not loading properly.
If you are using google gears, please disable to clear cache.
Thanks.
Hey Denzel,
I’m having issues with 2.8.6. When I post a video, the Vimeo loader/logo pops up but the video does not load. Any ideas on how to fix this?
-Dean
nevermind, figured it out!!!!
Glad you figured it out!
Hi, I’m trying to change the colour to something that goes a bit better with my web site, the options in the dialog menu aren’t really that great for my site.
In vimeo I saw that for embedding they offer the choice of White as well, can I modify the code somewhere to get that option in the plug in as well?
Thanks,
Petra
Hi,
Open up dialog.htm find <option value=”ff0179″>Fuscia</option>
and add this below <option value=”ffffff”>White</option>
Do not copy from here and paste. Type out the whole thing. Double Quotes to ffffff
Regards,
Denzel
Thanks denzel,
i tried that, but at the top it says it is (inactive)?!
And the change doesn’t show.
:(
Hi Petra,
Emailed you the changes. Just install the copy.
Regards,
Denzel
hi denzel,
i just tried uploading your plug-in to my site (www.shaheensheik.com). it’s a wordpress.org site (hosted on alentus) and i’m not getting quicktag or dialog to pop up. any thoughts?
i’m running wordpress 2.1.
thanks.
shafalcon
Hi shafalcon,
Since WordPress version 2.5, WordPress.org has upgraded the TinyMCE (which is the visual editor of WordPress) to version 3. My Vimeo Quicktag Plugin is written for TinyMCE version 3, therefore you are unable to use it for your site, as you are running wordpress 2.1.
I suggest that you upgrade to WordPress version 2.7.1 which has the latest admin features, and it is also the most secured version.
Thank you for trying out my plugin!
Regards,
Denzel
Hi Denzel,
Thanks for your feedback.
I test it (New version) and had still the same problem in explorer and mozilla “The code dissapear after publishing”.
Best Regards,
Patrick
Hi Patrick,
Sorry for the inconvenience,
I just found out that wordpress mu by default strips all
This will do the trick. :)
The codes that overrides the filter are found in a plugin from http://wpmudev.org/project/Allow-Embedded-Videos the author is Stuart Maxwell

Hi Patrick,
Thank you for using my plugin. I have tried in wordpress mu 2.6.5 and found some errors in my code. I have already changed it and uploaded an updated version 1.1. Please kindly download and reinstall again. Please unzip and ftp the files into wp-content/plugins/ and activate. Click on write and wait for the whole page to load. You will have to refresh you browser and wait for it to reload again, in order to see the vimeo quicktag.
Sorry for any inconvenience,
Regards,
Denzel
