Hi there, great plugin!! I had to come to this site in order to find the video id. It would be great if that info was found on the widget set up dialog.
Thanks for creating this!
Hi there, I’m trying to put your widget in WordPress Version 3.0.1 but when I add it in the widgets sidebar I don’t have an option for any more than one video. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
I don’t understand your situation. If you want to have random video. Use the random video widget. If you want a single video use the video sidebar widget. If you want a few videos on your sidebar, just drag the widget over the sidebar as many times you want and set it up.
Please read the documentation on the plugin page.
Thanks.

Hi,
Why don’t you make your side bar dynamic? Just follow this tutorial http://www.balkhis.com/web-designs-resources/how-to-add-a-dynamic-sidebar-in-
Add the side bar function below any existing code in your static sidebar, so as to retain it’s original layout. The area within your dynamic sidebar function will be able to accept widgets.
Nowadays it doesn’t make sense to have a totally static sidebar.
Thanks.
Hi,
Is it possible to increase the number of videos (5 at the moment) that we can add to the random play?
Thanks.
Hi,
You have to modify the plugin. I do not do free modifications.
Thanks.
Hi,
I was interested in using your video widget. I wanted to know if I can add my Youtube channel to the widget or that I can only add several video’s? I also wanted to know if this possible what to fill out in the ID section.
Thanks, great plugin and hope I can make use of it.

Hi,
This widget does not play the whole channel. You can only add videos to it.
Thanks.
Is there a way to remove the title from the youtube video that shows up in the sidebar (title in the video)?
No, it’s controlled by the YouTube video player.
Great plugin! Thank you! In the case that the sidebar is wider than the video (and I’d like to keep it that way), is there a way to center the video within the sidebar? Thanks for any answers/suggestions.
BTW, my site is still under construction.
Thanks,
Alan
Hi,
There is a CSS class of randomvideosidebar and videosidebar respectively for the widget class.
You can use this to position the widget.
Thanks.
I was using the Safari browser today, and looked at my site the first time via Safari—and none of my videos were visible (and same goes for your “Example from YouTube” on this site). After panicking, I checked my site via Firefox and saw that the videos WERE showing up in the sidebar in that browser. Is it possible your plugin doesn’t work with Safari? And if so, are there other browsers I should check? Thanks for your answer…
Hi,
No, its working fine.
I am using my mac mini with safari version 5 and there is nothing wrong with the videos on your site. as well as mine.
There must be a connection problem for video embeds from youtube to your safari browser. It should work after you clear your cache or restart your computer.
This plugin has been tested and works with firefox, safari, internet explorer and opera. But of course, all this browsers must be installed with the latest adobe flash player plugin. You can visit http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ to check out your version of flash player installed on your safari browser.
Wondering if there is a way to stop the video from auto play after you click thru to another page so people don’t have to hear the same thing over and over. I use the plugin for an intro when they arrive. Naturally would like it to stop when they move on to the deeper pages. BTW an awesome plugin, love it and thanks in advance
Hi,
There is no way to stop the video from auto playing once you set it that way.
However, you could modify your theme to use different sidebars for homepage, posts and pages, just like what my theme is programmed to do.
Set the widget on your homepage to auto play and another widget of the same video on your post sidebar. This time round do not set it to auto play.
You would be able to achieve the effect you want.
Thanks.
not sure I can handle this but will research, thank you very much!
